April 11, 2010Welcome to Nickel Golf News. I’m Scott Nickel and along with Backslash Technologies, have developed this website to bring you local golf course news and information. The website has many features that include:
NEWS: Results of tournaments, hole-in-ones and golf news in the area.
LOCAL COURSES: Click on the local course tab at the top of the page and go to a golf course and you’ll find the address, phone number, a map to locate it and a calendar with their schedule of tournaments, leagues and events.
SCHEDULE: Tournament listings with dates, contacts and formats.
CLASSIFIEDS: This a FREE service. List your used clubs, golf equipment or anything else related to golf. You must send me your e-mail address, but it will be completely confidential to you and NGN.
LEAGUE STANDINGS: Standings will be listed on the local course page where the league is played. If you would like to have your league standings posted, tell your league leader to send them to me and I will be happy to post them. Please send as a PDF file if possible. If you can’t, send it anyway you can and we’ll figure out a way to post it.
CONTACT US: If you have something news worthy, send it to me, and I’ll get it on the website.
WIGA: Click on the WIGA tab at the top of the page and it will link you to the Carthage Golf Club website where they post the schedule and results of the Western Illinois Golf Association tournaments.
