Green Acres Golf Course

I stopped this week in Donnellson and talked to new clubhouse manager, Tony Keefe. There are several new changes at the course for 2010. Probably the biggest is a new name. It will no longer be called Green Acres Country Club, but instead will go by Green Acres Golf Course and is now open to the public. The clubhouse also went through some major remodeling to the kitchen and dinning area. Their tournament schedule is not quite ready yet, but I should have it soon. I did get their league information. On Mondays, is the Monday Night Men’s ”Birds” group. It’s not a league, but just a group of guys that get together, draw teams, and have some fun. Anyone is welcome, with a shot gun start at 5:30. Tuesday is the Ladies league at 9:00 am. Wednesday is the Men’s Senior, “Over 50″ group at 9:00 am. Friday is the “Fun League” at 5:00.
